She has been relegated to the old, ugly hag, instead of venerated as wise, powerful wombman. She has been burnt at the stake. Drowned. Tortured. 

Whether or not you experienced this in past lives (I know I have), as wombyn, we all carry this collective trauma within our cellular DNA memory.
